This is being restored by Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, VA. My old college roommate lives nearby in Dayton, VA, and often takes photos out at the Bridgewater airport. I hope he gets some shots of the Connie. Dynamic makes their money by converting GA aircraft into surveillance assets for the USAF, plus other conversions to customer spec.

That’s a hell of a view from the bomber.

Interesting, I didn’t know much about them before now. I sure hope they bring this thing to Oshkosh sometime soon. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a Connie.

Lands it hard on the nose wheel and smoke starts pouring out the engines.

Man, if there’s one plane I wouldn’t want to land hard on the nose gear with it’s the Connie.

Think they shook an oil line loose on touchdown? I’m assuming they got those engines in good enough shape to make the trek and now they’ll get a proper overhaul.

Pretty short runway in Bridgewater, only 2745 ft. Probably trying to drop in. Something shook loose. Explains all the oil in your post pics. I assume they’ll completely go through everything.
